Bringing the army through.

Quotes from various parts of the multiverse during the time for the transportation of the Amber army back to Amber.

On ethics:
Jerod's expression as he accepts the deck would seem to indicate that he wouldn't mind if they *all* just up and vanished. But he accepts the deck and promises to return it (cleaned, pressed and fumigated).

Karen: *Fumigated*? Just where does he plan on carrying it? ;p

GM (Ginger): Blake, have you been talking to the Chaossiders again?

Blake: Moi? Speaking out of turn and in secret to glean restricted information from those who are not involved with my character? I am shocked that one of such distinguished character (in addition to being incredibly perceptive, charming and intelligent in a non-threatening and gentle way) as our esteemed GM could even consider that this humble player would do anything as criminal and deviant as this. I can only conclude this message comes from an intruder masquerading as the GM who aims to cause dissension amongst the players and wounds me most grievously with their spurious accusations.

I have no doubt that this imposter will be dealt with expeditiously by our gracious and omnipotent GM and return order to the list without delay.

Reid was expecting more
When Martin Trumps Corwin and Merlin through
"You drag me half way to Chaos to bring back an army, and THIS is all you have to show me? Some army!" He breaks into a wide grin before deciding on formal protocol... "Pleased to meet you, gentlemen." He extends his hand to each in turn, elder first.

Folly has a whole binder full of Trumps of her male cousins
Karen: Perhaps if Jerod *really* wants a Trump deck without paying a point for it, he should try being little and cute and mostly harmless. It seems to be working for Folly....

Noticing the silliness
Mark: Jovian notices and evidently approves on multiple levels. It would, in truth, be moderately difficult not to notice him noticing.
Madeline: Aisling notices Jovian noticing, and looks leery and uncomfortable for a bare moment until she willfully ceases to notice
Mark: Jovian notices her noticing him noticing, and in a brave effort to keep the thread from further recursion he ceases to notice as well.

Madeline: So it's time for the punchline?

"We're a noticeable family..

Corwin summarises (At Ygg)
You all know about Caine, right? Not actually dead? good. Oh, and two of your cousins are missing from the march back

In Amber Vere tries to persuade his father
"And how d'ye think ye'll be working on a cure if ye havena taken the Pattern yet?" Gerard asks, frustrated that Vere didn't take the bait.

Vere tilts his head to the side and regards his father with a serious expression. "You shall shift Shadow while I push you," he says.

A half hole?
Brennan: And so, with a sincere and deadpan drawl honed razor sharp by centuries of experience, he stage-muses so Martin can hear, "Wouldn't two behalfs make a bewhole?"

Reid: "It's been my experience that anyone who works on two or more behalfs is usually an a-hole, actually." Reid sees your sarcasm and raises.

Aisling, when Folly gives her food
Aisling looks amused. She can't help it, her thoughts run, <<"And what did you do today, Folly?" "I went down to the park and fed bits of bread to the Chaosites!" With her and Ce'e running around at Folly's feet making "wonk" noises

This started serious
Rikibeth: Solange likewise concentrates on Random's card.

GM (Michael):"Random's Head. Random speaking. Who's there?"

Rikibeth: Solange *barely* suppresses the urge to say, "It's the plumber. I've come to fix the sink," and instead says,...

GM: "Murphburble."

"Who?"

"Electroencephalacandygram!"

"No, really, who's there?"

"Brainshark."

"Oh, sure. C'mon in..."

Caine steps through, half-naked, with a bleeding, nakedAdonis in his arms. What is a major concern?
Paige: "Are there more wounded such as this? Some late engagement?"

"That's a good question," says Caine, "And one I would like answered. Along
with a number of others. Where are we? And can I get a shirt?"

Adonis to Folly.
"Names are important, lady. Tell me, would it be Folly for me to Love you? Or would you Love to be my Folly?" Adonis' wry smile conveys there's more to this than a mere play on words. His tone is inviting and kindly.

Benedict does not like kids
"There are many reasons I have stayed away from my father's realm of Amber, not least of which involved you. But most of those objections were personal and many of them have resolved. I understand that there are even more cousins of yours in Amber and the start of a new generation, which is a situation that I find gravely disturbing.

Breek, the LFG (Little Furry Guy) is cool, and Brennan is a God?
(Breek is given a sword)
"I am the very servant of the Gods, " he says. "Who shall I kill for you with this gift, Oh Lord God Brennan?"

Now we know
Tara: Is there anything Paige *isn't* smitten by?
>
Kris: In a word?

Hmm....

Jerod.

Karen: Picking up on a post from the Log, might I suggest that the appropriate short phrase for Jerod might therefore be 'Not Cuddly'?

What to say when your mum doesn't appove
Flora: "Solace seems a bit of a dishrag, dear, but her manners are good. Whatever possessed you to marry her?"

Lucas:"Circumstances."

Notice that this didn't involve any eybrows
Julian: "But hard words among kin are the meat and drink of our family discourse. Learning which hard words merely seek chinks in armor and which are truly threats is a necessary trait for survival."

Vere knows Jerod well
"Thank you, Cousin," Vere replies. "How does the Return proceed? Have you met any relatives you trust less than Ossian?"
